Decentralisation

Rethinking established hierarchies through Blockchain?

Decentralized technologies such as Blockchain can not only be used in the fintech sector, but also bear potential for society as a whole. Thanks to blockchain, transactions can now be carried out without the need for central intermediaries to build trust. Processes can be automated, seamlessly traced and made transparent. Blockchain also offers unprecedented possibilities for new, decentralized organizational forms and self-managed objects. This makes it possible to question existing hierarchies and rethink predominant structures. Will rigid hierarchical organizational models become obsolete? Are objects going to manage themselves in the future? Could they then belong to themselves?

Trust Square

Trust Square

Foundation of the First Swiss Blockchain Hub

In 2018, Dezentrum co-founded the Trust Square on Bahnhofstrasse in Zurich. The hub connects companies, start-ups, investors and academics who are specialized in blockchain. The Dezentrum actively helped to shape the Trust Square, for example by organizing lecture series or events on Digital Day.

no1s1

A self-managed house that belongs to no one

New technologies allow us to think differently about property, public space and collective goods. With no1s1 (no one's one), we hand over the management of a house to a blockchain-based smart contract. In this way, no1s1 can decide itself about its use and maintain itself autonomously.

How we support organisations

Thematic Inputs

With our input presentations on decentralisation, you can gain an initial overview of how decentralized technologies are likely to affect your industry. Our input sessions are tailored to your needs and your specific organisation.

Developing desirable future scenarios

On basis of scenario planning, we formulate desirable future scenarios and, on this basis, develop options for action for the present. For us, working with future scenarios forms the basis for not only reacting to technological and social developments, but also proactively responding to changes. We offer scenario workshops or train you in the application of scenario planning.

Testing desired future scenarios in a short time

Experimenting with new ideas and approaches is a central aspect in order to position oneself as an organisation successfully in the context of decentralisation. With the first prototypes, for example, valuable market knowledge can be gained in a short time and possible courses of action explored. We are happy to support you in this project!

Project partnerships and consulting

Our project partnerships range from one-day workshops to collaborations lasting several years. We bring in our expertise in decentralisation and its business models, design and technology, and actively help you to implement your projects.
